Fire crews in attendance at '˜ongoing incident' in Garvagh

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service are dealing with an 'ongoing incident' at a car dismantler's yard in Garvagh.

A spokesperson said: “NIFRS are currently dealing with a large number of cars on fire at a car dismantler’s yard on Belraugh Road, Garvagh.

“NIFRS received a call at 2:06pm this afternoon (Tuesday, September 13).

“Six fire appliances from Coleraine, Dungiven, Maghera, Ballymoney and Limavady Fire Stations are in attendance along with a water tanker from Pomeroy Fire Station and a command support unit from Kilrea Fire Station.

“The fire emergency support service vehicle has also been deployed to the scene.

“The incident is ongoing.”
