Fire Serice rescue man from building site on Dromore Street

A man in his 50s has to be rescued after becoming trapped at a building site on Dromore Street, Banbridge.

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) received a call at 3:56pm to a report of a man in distress at the Dromore Street area of Banbridge yesterday afternoon (Thursday, August 25).

“2 Fire Appliances from Banbridge Fire Station, one Fire Appliance from Lurgan Fire Station and one Fire Appliance from Dromore Fire Station were deployed to the scene.

A man in his 50s was rescued by Firefighters using manual handling equipment, after becoming trapped at a building site in the area. The man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service finished at the scene at 4:59pm.”
