Firm take-over
THE company which owns one of Lurgan's biggest factories has been taken over.
The Optical is now under the ownership of French company Essilor after it completed the acquisition of Signet Armorlite.
Managing Director of Crossbows Optical, Mervyn McCrea, told the ‘MAIL’: “This acquisition was just completed on April 1 and we have been off on holidays all of last week so at this stage we have no indication what effect, if any, it may have on Crossbows.
“We are expecting a visit sometime over the next few weeks at which time we should have a better understanding.”
