Michelin Development has provided a five-figure loan alongside comprehensive business support and mentoring to help Ballymena based Okotech take its heatboss product to the next level.

heatboss is an intelligent heating control solution for commercial premises, which through room-level control has so far enabled Okotech’s customers from the care home market to reduce their significant heating costs by as much as 30%.

The husband and wife led business, which was formed in 2011, has spent the first two years of trading sourcing, developing and testing hardware and software for the product and trialling it within care home settings but thanks to the Michelin’s support, is now looking to take the innovation to wider markets.
