Gavin Twamley, local sales representative from firmus energy, commented: “We are out and about in communities across Northern Ireland each and every day and regularly meet and hear about people who go above and beyond to help others.

“These are the ‘shining stars’ we want to highlight through this competition.

“As a company we have a strong focus on giving back to our local communities.

“We have supported charities, worked with organisations such as Business in the Community.

“We have also lent time and resources to projects, such as landscaping Special Schools, including Riverside in Antrim and Ceara in Lurgan.

“We wholeheartedly appreciate that so much good work is being done within communities on an individual level.

“And it is those people whom we hope will be nominated for the ‘Person To Be Proud Of’ competition.”

Last year, Coleraine’s fundraising Caring Caretaker Davy Boyle won the Person to be Proud of.
