First Minister praises Christies Direct

North Antrim DUP MLA Mervyn Storey has welcomed the First Minister Arlene Foster MLA to local Ballymoney company Christies Direct.

Christies Direct was established in 1992 and have become one of the leading Dog Grooming Suppliers in the world.

Commenting after todays visit, Mervyn Storey said: “I was pleased to welcome the First Minister to Christies Direct, so that she could see at first hand the success of this local family own business. The company can rightly claim to be one of the leading dog grooming companies in the world.

“In 2016 the team behind the Christies Direct website were named as the DNA Digital Team of the Year, sponsored by Deloitte Digital! The Christies Direct website is the second most visited pet grooming website in the world. All very impressive from a local Ballymoney bases company.”

Speaking after a visit to Christies Direct in Ballymoney, First Minister Arlene Foster said: “I was delighted to hear that Christies Direct are Europe’s number one supplier of Pet Grooming products, exporting to over 30 countries worldwide.

“This is an excellent example, set here in Ballymoney by Christies Direct, of one of a growing number of Northern Ireland’s indigenous companies who are reaching out to new markets, developing their product lines and in doing so growing their company.
