First panto
LURGAN Operatic Society decided early in 1989 to stage its first ever pantomime that year.
At their 40th annual meeting of the society it was agreed to go ahead with the panto - the first in the town since the days of Lurgan Dramatic Society in the late 1940s.
It was also agreed to stage another Old Time Music Hall and the annual production in May would be ‘The Desert Song’.
