First time voters get chance to quiz politicians at Friends’ debate

FRIENDS’ School will be hosting a debate featuring some of Northern Ireland’s most prominent politicians this Friday (April 8) in the run up to the Assembly Elections to help young electors decide how to vote.

Entitled ‘The First Time Voters Debate’, the school’s Current Affairs Committee has invited five leading politicians to attend.

Peter Robinson, Tom Elliott, Alex Maskey, Anna Lo and Conall McDevitt have all taken up their invitations to address the questions put to them by the young people.

All the schools in the wider Lisburn area have been invited for what should prove a lively and informative pre-election debate.

The debate will be hosted by Jim Fitzpatrick from the BBC’s ‘The Politics Show.’
