First vows exchanged at scenic country park

A LARNE woman has told of her delight at being the first bride to tie the knot at Larne's jewel in the crown tourist attraction.

Angeline Kelly, daughter of Barbara and Jim King from Greenland Grove, was married to Liam Kelly, son of Liam and Anne Kelly of Edward Avenue, at Carnfunnock Country Park. They were the first couple to exchange vows at the scenic beauty spot after the council approved it as a venue for civil ceremonies eariler this year.

And she told the Larne Times that the park was the perfect location for anyone who wanted to have a casual wedding.

"It truly is an asset to Larne to have such a beautiful location for a wedding," she added. "It is ideal for someone like me who wanted to keep things minimalist, laid back and have as little fuss as possible."
