Five arrested after Class A drug find

POLICE in Lisburn arrested five people after Class A drugs were seized during a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act at the weekend.

More than £2,000 worth of suspected cocaine was found at a house in Chapel Hill Mews on Saturday evening. A small quantity of cannabis resin and a number of other items were also seized.

A number of follow up searches were also carried out at other addresses in Chapel Hill Mews and Craig Crescent.

The five people arrested - a 30-year-old man, a 26-year-old man, a 24-year-old man, a 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were questioned on suspicion of a number of offences and subsequently released on bail.

The seized drugs will be sent for forensic testing.
