Five liftedafter fracas near city centre pub

Five people were arrested following a fracas outside a pub in Londonderry city centre in the early hours of Monday, October 12.

A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) advised that the incident occurred shortly before 1am close to licensed premises in the Market Street area of the city centre close to the City Walls.

Three men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of disorderly behaviour and one man was arrested for disorderly behaviour, common assault and possessing an offensive weapon.

All were later bailed to dates in November.
