Five people escape injury in petrol bomb attack on Carrick home

Five people, including three children have escaped injury after a petrol bomb attack on a house in Carrickfergus over the weekend.

Detectives are appealing for information following the incident, which occurred at a house in the Oakwood Road on Sunday night (July 31).

It was reported to police that a petrol bomb was thrown through the front window of the house at around 11.30pm.

The window was smashed; however the device failed to ignite, and has now been taken for forensic examination.

Two adults and three children who were inside the house at the time were not injured, according to police.
