Flag Day thanks

SIR - On behalf of RNLI Ballymoney Branch, I would like to thank members of the public for their extreme generosity at our Flag Day on Friday, August 31.

A total of £990.15 was raised.

Scouts back

Ballintoy and Dunseverick Scouts will be returning in September after a first season.

The group meets on Friday evenings from 7:30pm to 9pm in Ballintoy Parish Hall or perferably outdoors. The Scouts are open to boys and girls from the age of 10 and a half upwards.

Toddler groups

THE Billy and Derrykeighan parishes Parent and Toddler group, Colman’s Kidz, resumed on Tuesday 4 September.

The group meets every Tuesday morning between 10am to 11:30am during term time in the Allen and Adair Hall.

The cost is £2 per family and a snack is included.

All pre-schoolers are welcome along with parents or grandparents.

Womens’ Fellowship

The opening meeting for the new year Women Fellowship will be held at Ramoan and Culfeightrin on Wednesday 19th September at 8pm in Trinity Cottage where the supper and entertainment will be provided.

Mothers Unions

THE Mothers Unions new office bearers and committee will be enrolled at the Holy Communion Service in St James on the morning of 16th September. Hopefully all the members will be able to attend.

Derrykeighan Harvest Tea

The ladiess Guild invites you to the Allenn and Adair Hall for afternoon tea on Thursday 27th September from 2pm to 5pm al proceeds to the Building Fund.

Reformed Presbyterian Girls’ Brigade seeks new members

If you have girls aged between 3 and 17 years old, Ballymoney Reformed Presbyterian Girls’ Brigade would be delighted to have them come and join in their Girls’ Brigade company.

They have five different age groups. Under 5s and Explorers (5 – 8 year olds), these groups meet from 6.30 to 7.25pm on Thursday nights. Then from 7.30 to 9.00pm we have the three older groups – Juniors (8 – 11 year olds), Seniors (11 – 14 year olds) and Brigaders (14 – 18 year olds). They work through a full range of activities, doing group activities of craft, baking, projects, singing, games and most importantly Bible teaching.

They also have a number of older girls working for the Queen’s Award as well as their Brigader brooch, and we take part in district competitions and events.

MS service

The Ballymoney Branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society are holding a service of Thanksgiving in Dunluce Parish Church, Bushmills, on Sunday, September 23 at 6.30 p.m.

The Rev. Canon George Graham will conduct the service and will be joined by Cantemus wno will provide the music.

Tea will be served in the Parish Hall following the service.

Car boot sale

Car boot sale and fundraiser is being held on Saturday, September 15 in Parish Centre Car Park, Queen Street, Ballymoney.

Setting up is from 8am. Cars and small vans £5. Refreshments avilable. All monies in aid of Parish Funds - United Parish of Ballymoney, Finvoy and Rasharkin.

The committee of Roseyards Presbyterian church wish to thank everyone who supported the Tractor Build evening recently.

They want to thank the members of Inishowen Tractor Build teams for presenting an enjoyable event and also thanks to Mr Billy Forsycthe from the Harry Ferguson Association for his very informative talk about the man himself and his many inventions, not only the T20 Tractor.
