Flammable liquid poured through door

Police are appealing for information following an arson attack on a house in Church Street, Ahoghill, at approximately 2am on Sunday 2nd August 2015.

Constable Glenn, the investigating officer, said: “Flammable liquid was poured through the letterbox of the property and a glass bottle with a rag in it, ignited and placed on the front door step. Luckily the occupants of the house came across the fire before it had time to spread. As a result the fire caused scorch damage to the front door.

“A window was broken during an earlier incident at the property which was also reported to police. A motive has not yet been established.
