Flash Bullet win the race

Lisburn Central Primary School's P7 class who recently won both the Fastest Car and First Place Overall trophies in the Northern Ireland Final of the Formula 1 in Schools Technology Challenge.

The class had to design, make and race their own model car which they named FlashBullet.

The children were also judged on their team image and uniform. The class would like to thank their main sponsor Reach EPS for sewing the FlashBullet team logo into their F1 suits and also First Choice Taxis Lisburn J.M. Motor Factors and Lagan Valley Spar for their sponsorship and support with this exciting cross curricular project.

The challenge inspires students to use IT to learn about physics, aerodynamics, design, manufacture, branding, graphics, sponsorship, marketing, leadership/teamwork, media skills and financial strategy, and apply them in a practical, imaginative, competitive and exciting way.

The funds raised through sponsorship are invested in administering, developing and expanding the challenge.
