Flash in the Pan help Adopt-a-Child

ADOPT-a-Child, a Christ missionary organisation working in Guatemala and Albania, has thanked Flash in the Pan, Ballymoney for their fundraising efforts.

Since May last year, the local food outlet has been sponsoring a child in Guatemala as well as housing a collection box in the shop.

Rev Alan Macaulay, Area Co-ordinator, Ireland explained: “We work with over 10,000 children and their families as we first of all show God’s love in practical ways before we earn the right to share the Christian message with them.

“This is what we are about: Our feeding and care programme is unashamedly linked with teaching children (and their families) about faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, we feed the children proper meals, we include basic Dental and Medical needs in our care for the needs of the whole person, only 10% of the monthly sponsorship is deducted for administration costs in the UK, we only allow one family/group/individual to sponsor any given child and also the sponsor and Adopt-A-Child, with emphasis on accountability and integrity

“Since May 2009 Flash in the Pan has been sponsoring a child in Guatemala. Along side this there has been a collection box in the shop and members of the public have been putting in their loose change to help the work of Adopt-a-Child (AAC). The money raised through this has enabled Flash in the Pan to sponsor another child.

“On behalf of AAC I would like to thank Mr Ernie Bustard and his customers for their generosity and support. Each of you plays your part in making a difference in the lives of the sponsor children in Guatemala.”
