Flooding problem to be resolved at cemetery gates

He said: “It was brought to my attention that there was a serious flooding problem at the pedestrian gate to the Cushendall Road cemetery.

“It has been particularly bad in the recent wet weather. People going to visit graves have found that they have had to walk to the main gate at considerable inconvenience.

“I am pleased to say that Council officers have now investigated the problem and are going to put in a new drain and gully. I hope that this will be done very soon and I would ask visitors to the cemetery to be patient in the meantime.”
