Floral art group back for new season

FOLLOWING the summer recess, Ballymena Floral Art Group looks forward to welcoming back its members to the first meeting of the new season in Leighinmohr House Hotel at 7.30pm on Monday 20 September 2010.

Mrs Carol Calvert will give a very interesting demonstration entitled ‘Let’s Go’ and all members are invited to participate in the first club competition of the season, this to consist of fruit, berries and foliage.

The Club’s Annual Open Night has been scheduled to take place on Wednesday

10 November in Leighinmohr House Hotel and the demonstration for the evening, entitled ‘Christmas Miscellany’ will be given by the very popular and talented Mr James Burnside.

James needs no introduction to those involved in floral art - he is an established traditional and contemporary floral designer, national demonstrator, teacher and judge and is well known for his expertise in this creative art form.

There is sure to be a big turn out at this event so book early to ensure a seat as you will find James’ combination of knowledge, skills, experience and enthusiasm for his subject enlightening.

Tickets, priced at 10, will include light refreshments and will be obtainable from Avril (25861550) or Sharon (29540438) or from Leighinmohr House Hotel reception. Alternatively, payment can be made on the night at the door.

The support of the general public is always very much appreciated at our annual charity event and this year will be no exception.

The receiving charity for this year’s donation will be the Alzheimer’s Society and everyone will be made most welcome.
