Floral delight at Derriaghy WI
DERRIAGHY: President Anne Hunter welcomed members, including new member, Mrs June Currie to the April meeting of the WI.
Mr Nelson Small gave a marvellous demonstration on flower arranging using greenery widely available in the garden, along with lilies, roses and pussy willows.
Mr Small generously donated his beautiful arrangements for the monthly ballot prizes.
The competition for a posy vase was first, Vera Spratt and second, Jennifer Connor. The birthday girls were Jennifer Murray and Dorothy Garrett. The evening ended with a delicious supper.
