Foodbank opens in Moira

Lisburn Foodbank has opened a Foodbank distribution centre in Moira in partnership with the Living Room and supported by a number of churches in the local area.

Lisburn Mayor Councillor Andrew Ewing was on hand to cut the ribbon and offer his appreciation in recognition of the hard work being done by the Foodbank volunteers.

The Foodbank currently operates on a Monday From 11am - 2.30pm and has been able to help individuals and families in short term crisis.

The Foodbank works with a number of care professionals who hold vouchers which can be allocated to those in short term crisis and exchanged for three days supply of food at the Foodbank.
