‘Football For All’ talk at Lisburn library

ON Wednesday May 16 at 7pm, Lisburn Library will welcome Michael Boyd, Head of Community Relations with the Irish Football Association (IFA), who will be giving a talk entitled ‘Football For All’.

During the talk Michael, who has spearheaded the Irish FA’s Football For All Community Relations campaign, will be describing the efforts of the IFA to combat sectarianism and racism in football and their strategy for the next couple of years, which is transforming the atmosphere at Northern Ireland international games.

This event is being held to mark Community Relations Week For the last ten years the Community Relations Council has coordinated Community Relations Week as an opportunity for voluntary and community groups, councils and other public bodies, including Libraries NI, to illustrate their commitment to creating a more shared and reconciled society.
