Footballer Mark Farren dies aged 33

He had been diagnosed with a grade four brain tumour in 2015.
In a bid to cure Mark of the disease his family and friends organised a charity fund to pay for special treatment in Tijuana, Mexico.

Mark received the treatment last year and returned home to Moville, Co Donegal with his wife Terri-Louise in August.
Mark’s friend and former Derry City teammate, Barry Molloy, paid tribute to Mark on Facebook.
“Can’t believe I’m writing this. Heaven has just gained an absolute legend and more importantly a true gentleman. Never forgotten. RIP Mark.”
Mark became Derry City all-time top goalscorer when he surpassed Liam Coyle’s record of 112 goals in September 2012.
Mark then left Derry and signed for Irish League outfit Glenavon but was forced to retire after becoming ill.
