For and against Tesco

One man said the people who want a Tesco store at Leyland Road should “accept the wishes of the majority who are against”.

He said Ballycastle is a holiday town and people coming to visit would not want to see boarded up shops in the town centre which he said would be the case if Tesco appeared at Leyland Road.

A follower of the Times’ facebook site said: “Tesco needs to come to Ballycastle to keep the locals shopping in the town. We pay enough rates we should have a good choice of where to shop. How many that signed against it coming actually shop or even live in the area, not just tourist or just Sunday drivers?”
