For trial on pirate DVDs

A man has been returned for trial to Craigavon Crown Court charged with selling or hiring pirate DVDs.

Paul McGahan (46), Belvedere Manor, Lurgan, appeared last Friday at a preliminary enquiry at Craigavon courthouse.

He is charged that between January 1, 2014, and March 28, 2014, he infringed the copyright by making for sale or hire a DVD.

McGahan also faces 16 similar offences.

He was further charged that on March 27, 2014, that by selling or offering for sale a DVD he infringed copyright.

The defendant also faces 16 similar offences.

McGahan was returned for trial on his own bail of £500 to appear for arraignment at Craigavon Crown Court on June 23.
