Formal Ball for Bennet House Mini Bus Appeal

THE public is being asked to support a Formal Ball in aid of a Mini Bus Appeal for the Royal British Legion’s Bennet House in Portrush.

The Ball will be held in the Lodge Hotel, Coleraine, on Friday, October 21 from 7.30pm.

Based at Lansdowne Crescent, Bennet House provides welfare breaks to serving and ex-service personnel who are recovering from an illness, bereavement of other life affecting events.

Eligible clients can enjoy a one or two week break in a two year period. Weeks are run into the school holidays to accommodate young ex-service parents and children.

Next month’s Formal Ball is being run by local man Willie McDonald who is hoping that the public turns out in force to support this very worthwhile cause.

Tables of up to 16 guests can be accommodated for the five course dinner and tickets cost £25.

Entertainment will be by Noel McKeary and Memory Lane.
