ANAHILT Presbyterian Church Girls' Brigade is celebrating its 50th birthday this year and plans are well advanced for a number of special events over the coming months to mark the Golden Anniversary.

The Company has organised a special re-union dinner which will take place on the evening of Saturday, October 9 in the Church Hall at Windmill Road near Hillsborough and the Officers and members are extending a special invitation to all former members of the Anahilt GLB/GB Company.

A special GB Golden Anniversary Service is also planned and will take place in the Church at 3.30pm on November 21.

Anyone who has been a member or involved in any way with the Company is invited to attend the Service.

Heather Magowan, a senior officer and foundation member of the Anahilt Company said: "This is a milestone in the life of our GB Company and my fellow officers and I want to celebrate it in style. We are particularly keen to make contact with, and invite every member/helper, who attended Anahilt GLB/ GB Company over the past 50 years to the re-union dinner.

So if you are a former member/helper, or know of any former members/helpers who would like to join the celebrations, please contact me on 92638348."

The Girls' Brigade meets on Wednesday of each week and will resume its activities on September 1 in the Church hall from 6.45pm to 8.00pm.
