Former pupil turned rugby star shines at Lisneal awards

RUGBY star and past pupil Stacey-Lea Kennedy visited Lisneal College recently to present pupils with awards for sport, academic and community achievements.

Stacey-Lea Kennedy, member of the Ireland rugby team who recently won the Grand Slam and Six Nations, who also presented an Ireland rugby shirt to the school in recognition and celebration of her own sporting achievements.

Achievements by the successful pupils included commitment to school sports teams and extra-curricular activities, assistance at school events such as the annual Open Nights and school shows, raising money for charity and academic success. They were Stacey-Ann Murray, Rachael Porter, Sarah O’Keefe, Olivia Rosborough, Jenny Stevenson, Jordan Kane, Christopher Riddles, Jessica Martin, Joshua Olphert and Jordan Stewart. Absent on the day was Steven Hopkins.
