Fort Hill pupils hit the slopes in Bulgaria on annual ski trip

A TOTAL of 39 pupils from Years 9 &10 and five members of staff from Fort Hill Integrated College recently made their way to Pamporovo just outside Plovdiv in Bulgaria for the school’s annual ski trip.

Again this year they returned to the comfortable Hotel Snezhanka where all the rooms had ensuite facilities, many had balconies and all had exceptional views of the region’s snow covered wooded mountain sides.

The ski centre at the resort of Pamporovo offered the 35 skiers excellent facilities and fantastic instructors.

Having spent several hours at Craigavon ski centre in preparation meant that the novices graduated from the nursery slopes and headed for the main slopes in snow plough formation in double quick time.

As they headed up the mountain, snow clouds disappeared revealing lots of new snow and spectacular views of the whole Rhodopi region.

Everyone made huge improvements and enjoyed their skiing immensely.
