Fort Hill’s adventure to Panto Land

Year 8 pupils at Fort Hill Integrated College ventured to Panto Land where they enjoyed a festive encounter presented by Stranmillis University College Drama Society.

The performance of Cinderella took pupils on an exhilarating adventure through a land that time had forgotten, into a place where dreams become reality and happiness is never too far away.

Pupils had been given a lively introduction to the performance several weeks beforehand when Michael Pollock (one of the stars of the cast, playing Dundini) and Holly Bennett (one of the production’s choreographers), visited Fort Hill College to deliver panto workshops.

Pupils experimented with a variety of accents as they practised reading scenes from the Cinderella script.

Holly and Michael also demonstrated some choreographed moves that featured in the opening song of Cinderella.

Pupils were quick to pick up on the dance routines and entered into the fun with great energy and flair.

The students were privileged to have had a sneak preview of some scenes prior to viewing a performance of Cinderella which they thoroughly enjoyed.
