Found driving without insurance

A Lurgan man was fined £200 last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for driving without insurance on October 18 last year.

Ronan Austin (32), Ashdene Park, Lurgan, was also given six points and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

As well he was fined £50 for failing to produce his driving licence

The court heard the offences came to light when Austin was stopped while driving at Francis Street in Lurgan.

Mr Paddy Moriarty, representing the defendant, said that his client accepted he was not insured on this occasion. He had been paying by instalments.
