“Through our suite of innovative business and enterprise programmes, local business leaders use their own knowledge and expertise to bring our programmes to life in the classroom, in schools such as Sacred Heart Primary School and Fountain Primary School.

“These schools have been working with Young Enterprise for many years, to promote business and enterprise to pupils, in order to help them develop skills and qualities which will undoubtedly help them in their future careers.

“This award recognises the fact that the schools have facilitated a large amount of Young Enterprise business programmes over a considerable number of years, in partnership with business leaders from the local community.

“All Young Enterprise Programmes complement the new NI Curriculum, which challenges schools to add value to students’ learning experience, and they thoroughly deserve this recognition.

“We are delighted to present this Centre of Excellence Award to Sacred Heart Primary School and Fountain Primary School, and look forward to working in partnership with them and our local business volunteers for many years to come.”

The organisation works with over 105,000 young people from across Northern Ireland to interconnect schools and business leaders, with the aim of inspiring future entrepreneurs and ensuring that they are equipped with the skills to become enterprising, creative and commercially aware.

Young Enterprise claims it is building a connected world of young people, business volunteers and educators, inspiring each other to succeed through enterprise.

Each year, its business volunteers inspire over 105,000 young people aged 5 to 25 years. These programmes empower the next generation with the confidence, ability and ambition to succeed in a rapidly changing global economy.
