According to Séamus Ward, Programme Manager with the Bogside and Brandywell Health Forum: “This is an opportunity for local people to meet other local people whose health has been improved as a result of taking up their own personal health challenge with us over the years.

“As an example, one participant in our Born To Run Club is 75! Also, many people, not just those in their later years, have successfully completed our Step Up Exercise Referral programmes and have gone on to live more active and enjoyable lives as a result.

“The Health Forum as a healthy living centre has a broad range of choices on offer to local residents. We already engage a huge number of people in tailored health improvement programmes, but we would like to encourage others to take up their own personal health challenge with us as well.

“If you are concerned about your weight, your fitness or other aspects of your health, well being and family life, then Thursday (April 25) evening’s event in the Gasyard could be a golden opportunity for you!

“Come along on Thursday evening between 6.00-8.00pm, meet the Health Forum staff, get a health check, have a bit of nice food and we’ll see what happens next!”
