Four arrested in serious sexual child abuse probe

Officers from PSNI Public Protection Branch have today (Monday, 16 April) arrested four males, aged 70, 55 and 54 and 52 in the Newtownards, Lisburn, Newcastle and Downpatrick areas.

A PSNI spokesman said this is in relation to an investigation into allegations of serious historical sexual child abuse in the Co. Down area. They have been taken to Antrim Police Station to assist police with their enquiries.
