Four dogs killed in fire
Three homes were evacuated during a blaze at Soye Crescent in the early hours of Friday morning, which claimed the lives of four dogs.
The fire was reported around 12.20am.
Appliances from Lurgan requested assistance from colleagues in Portadown to deal with the fire involving a domestic garage and a heating oil tank. Residents of three houses were evacuated for safety as firefighters dealt with the blaze.
Sadly four Jack Russell dogs perished in the incident.
