Four police dogs put down
FOUR police dogs Baz, Ander, Cobi and Ero, were put down by the PSNI over the past five years - one, Baz, was destroyed due to aggression towards his handler and because he couldn’t be rehomed.
Baz, a Malinois German, was five-years-old when he was destroyed. Ander was a three-year-old German Shepherd who had severe and debilitating arthritis.
Cobi, another German Shepherd, was aged five and had cancer.
Ero, another German Shepherd, was aged two and suffered an inoperable twist of the intestine.
The PSNI released the details in response to a Freedom of Information request.
