Four schools vie for Environmental Award

DALRIADA School, Our Lady of Lourdes, Ballymoney High School, and Coleraine Inst., have been considered for a leading environmental award - Best school initiative sponsored by RES UK & Ireland Ltd at the third annual 'Action Renewables Association Awards Luncheon'.

Co-supported" by the EU Commission for Northern Ireland and Belfast City Council, the Awards are growing from strength to strength and aim to recognise and reward those who are leading the way within the fast developing ‘green’ industry in Northern Ireland.

This year one school will join fifteen organisations battling it out to win one of the eight highly coveted environmental awards and they have been nominated after school visits from the experts at Action Renewables.

The Action Renewables Awards Luncheon takes place in Belfast’s City Hall on Wednesday 10th March 2010. Guests will have the chance to network with leading industry experts and share in a round table discussion before the Awards are announced.
