Four week driving ban imposed for insurance offence

A four week driving ban was imposed on a Portadown man last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.

Karim Gul, whose address was given as Woodside Green, Portadown, was
also fined £400 and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy for using a vehicle without insurance on January 10 this year.

The court heard that a police mobile patrol in Charles Street, Lurgan, saw a vehicle obstructing two other vehicles.

It was seized by police, never claimed and destroyed.

A barrister representing the defendant said that his client already had six penalty points on his driving licence.
