Foyle area has most jobseekers in NI
THE Foyle Assembly area has the largest number of jobseekers (5,430) of any constituency in Northern Ireland, according to the latest figures held by the Department of Social Development (DSD).
Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland outlined the figures for August 2011 which were taken from the Northern Ireland Benefits Statistics Summary.
North Belfast (4,840), West Belfast (4,830) and Newry and Armagh (4,520) all had fewer claimants of Jobseeker’s Allowance.
