“I am delighted once again that my name will be on the ballot paper to represent my constituents as a member of the Democratic Unionist Party.

“As we approach the 2016 assembly election, it is vital that those who are eligible to vote are on the electoral register in order for their voice to heard. With only one seat in the Foyle constituency available for unionists, every vote will count.

“This election will be one of the most important in recent times and we must ensure that unionism has the strongest representation possible both here in Londonderry and across Northern Ireland.

“As the current mandate draws to an end, I will continue to work tirelessly within the Assembly on behalf of all of my constituents,” Mr Middleton said.
