Free fun day in Moira

A FREE family fun day takes place in Moira Demesne this Saturday from 11am to 3pm.

It’s been organised by Moira Pentecostal Church amd all food and events are free of charge.

There will also be a chance for five families to win a flight in a helicopter on the day.

Kathy Newell, the co-ordinadtor of the fun day said: “The family fun day has been running for 6 years now starting off with about 200 people max and last year it had grown to almost 1,000 people.

“The day is organised, funded and run by volunteers of Moira Pentecostal Church the entire event is free. This includes all the food, drinks, bouncy castles, carnival games, rodeo bull, creative arts, live entertainment, puppet show.

“This year we have hired a helicopter to give five families an opportunity to win 5 FREE instant flights on the day from the park that day.”

Kathy added: “We do this year on year as a commitment to our town and surrounding areas, to encourage support and value families and to meet with our town and surrounding areas and make a contribution to their lives and show in a practical way God’s love in action as well as our desire to help support and promote friendships and also highlight the facilities that we offer as a church ie Mums and tots groups, youth clubs, Christianity courses if people wish to know more or have questions about the Christian faith and church.

The fun begins at 11am with registration starting at 10.45am

The full list of attractions are: barbecue, rodeo bull, zerb ball inflatable track, bouncy castle and slide, tots zone, carnival games, men’s fitness challenge, helicopter flight competition, World War II memorabalia, face painting, tea juice and tray bakes, football, arts and crafts, police, fire brigade, live entertainment and drama and creative arts.
