Free library events tocelebrate AdultLearners’ Week

LIBRARIES NI is inviting local people to learn something new through a programme of free events which will be held to mark Adult Learners’ Week, from May 12-18.

Lisburn City Library will be holding a ‘Home Work Help’ event on Thursday May 17 from 11am - 12noon and Moira Library will be hosting a display entitled ‘Adults Returning to Work’ throughout May.

Adult Learners’ Week (ALW) is the UK’s largest annual festival of learning; inspiring thousands of people each year to find out how learning can change their lives.

There is a range of free events and activities being held during the week to suit all hobbies and interests. Several self-serve ‘Teach Yourself’ computer worksheets will also be available for members of the public to use independently at library computers, use of which is free for all library members.
