Free microchipping for dogs roadshow

FROM April 2012 it will be a legal requirement to have your dog microchipped.

And to help local dog owners, Ballymoney Borough Council, in conjunction with the Dogs Trust, are holding various roadshows throughout the Borough for the microchipping of dogs - for ONE week only!

The events run:

* Tuesday, May 31 at Riverside Park and Armour Avenue, Ballymoney from 11am to 3pm.

* Wednesday, June 1 at Fulton Park Recreation Grounds, Balnamore Road, Balnamore from 11am to 12.45pm.

* Wednesday, June 1 at Riverside Park, Knock Road, Dervock from 1pm to 3pm.

* Thursday, June 2 at Cloughmills Community Centre, Culcrum Road, Cloughmills at 11am to 12.45pm.

* Thursday, June 2 at Bush Park, Main Street, Stranocum at 1pm to 3pm.

* Friday, June 3 at Rasharkin Community Centre, Duneany Road, Rasharkin from 11am to 12.45pm.

* Friday, June 3 at St Joseph’s Parish Centre, Bridge Road, Dunloy from 1pm to 3pm.

Microchipping is free to owners. Puppies must be over 12 weeks of age and fully vaccinated. Free neutering vouchers will also be available on board the Roadshow.

The Borough Council is encouraging local dog owners to avail of these offers while they can.
