“SERC have been kind enough to work with us to offer Lisburn shoppers free access to their car park next to Castle Gardens throughout the Summer. I believe this will provide a real boost to retailers located in the Market Square and Castle Street area” he said.

David Fannin, from Connolly’s Newsagents, who approached Lisburn City Centre Management commented, “It is great to hear some good news about parking for a change and I’d like to thank LCCM and SERC for making this happen.

“If used correctly this car park will increase the number of shoppers passing by the doors of the shops at this end of the City, hopefully we can encourage them through our doors to shop localThe City Centre Management are hoping people will take advantage and come into the city to enjoy a picnic in Castle Gardens, let the kids enjoy the newly refurbished play park in Wallace Park or take to the shops for a spot of retail therapy.

“After you have kept all the family happy why not spend the money you’ve saved on parking and treat yourself in one of the many restaurants and cafes in Lisburn City Centre” said a spokesperson.
