Free seminar onhow to draw down‘diversity’ funding
Derry City Council’s offering a free information seminar next Friday (April 11) at 10am, providing assistance on how to apply for available funding from the Community Relations Council (CRC) ‘Cultural Diversity Grant Scheme.’
Mayor Martin Reilly said: “The CRC’s ‘Community Relations and Cultural Diversity Grant Scheme’ can offer grants from £1k to £10k local groups who submit applications to their new funding round which opened on 1st April. The funds are available to those groups with projects to improve community relations, promote respect for cultural diversity or for summer intervention projects.
“Diversity in political opinion, religion and race is something which adds character and vibrancy to our council area and projects which explore this and help us understand and deal with the past and create a better future are vital. It is great to have this money made available locally.”
