Free workshop

THE Consumer Council will be running a free workshop in Londonderry on Friday 20 August for people who work in the community and voluntary sector, family and youth workers and adult education tutors.

The event, which looks at how to save money on a low income, will take place from 10am – 12noon in the Millennium Forum, in partnership with Advice NI, Citizens Advice and the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).

Nora Quigley from the Consumer Council said: “With many consumers’ budgets already stretched to the limit, trying to save can seem like an impossible task, especially for those on a low income. That’s why together with our partners we have organised this workshop, to give local community workers and tutors practical advice and free budgeting resources to help the groups they work with.”
