Frew impressed with Ballymoney Show

NORTH Antrim DUP MLA Paul Frew, Chairman of the Agricultural and Rural Development committee, was one of the many visitors who attended the Ballymoney Show on Saturday 2nd June.

He said: “The Ballymoney Show has a wide ranging reputation for being a fun-filled family day out and the 105th running of the show was no exception.

“The Show was once again a success with large crowds coming from both near and far to enjoy the annual event. The level of visitors entering the Ballymoney Showgrounds was helped by the spectacular summer weather, which added to the relaxed and upbeat atmosphere of the show.

“There was an excellent turnout for the showing classes, providing local farmers with a great opportunity to exhibit the best of their lives. There was also no shortage of food, sweet treats or shopping at the show as there was a wide range of wonderful treats and objects available from the many stalls which were in attendance.

“The long running success of the show is due to the hard work and commitment of the numerous volunteers and workers who give up their time each year in order to ensure that the event runs smoothly each year and is entertaining for all who are in attendance.

“Ballymoney Show is and will continue to be one of the most entertaining and family orientated events in the agricultural calendar as every year it continues to entertain and appeal to all generations and to all walks of life.”
