Cllr Frew said: “There has been quite a lot of work completed in this area over the years but I still receive complaints from my constituents who cannot understand how Road Service can apply a new tarmac surface on one section of footpath but then leave a paved surface in between.

“I am glad to be able to tell my constituents that Road service have come back to me and agreed to extend the footpath flag removal work in this area to cover the stretches of Chichester Park that I have received complaints about. This is great news.

“I know that the elderly residents who live in this settled area are concerned about where they have to walk in order to get to the local shops or the local bus stop and this news and work will put their minds at ease that little bit more.”
