Mr Frew, who said he had been alerted to the practice some months ago by people living in the area, stated: “This practice has to stop and if anyone is having trouble with bins then they should contact me and I will try and assist them. They cannot and should not be allowed to throw rubbish around the place. This is a great place to live and there has been great improvements over the last number of years in the area.

“There is food waste, children’s nappies and other rubbish which is highly undesirable to be thrown about the place and it can’t continue as it will entice vermin and cause other serious issues. This has to stop.”

“The people of Skye Park and the wider Ballykeel area are sick of this and deserve better than having to look out at and walk around this mess,“ said Mr Frew who said Council would be investigating in a bid to identify those responsible.
