Frew welcomes Bore wells grant scheme
The ‘Rural Bore Wells Scheme’ will be administered by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development through the ‘Tracking Rural Poverty and Social Isolation Framework’.
The overall cost of the scheme will depend on the uptake but the maximum cost per dwelling could be around £10,000. It will open this summer and run for four years.

“I asked a question back in January highlighting the problem and raising awareness of this issue and I received a list of roads in my constituency where there are dwellings that are not connected to mains water. This scheme will benefit isolated rural dwellings that are outside the reach of the network at present”.
