Frew welcomes pitch safety fence
Nort Antrim MLA Paul Frew has welcomed the quick action taken by Mid & East Antrim Borough Council by installing a barrier to the stream running behind the sports facility in Clough.
Mr Frew said he had raised the issue after speaking to concerned parents.
“I’m glad to report that Council have now installed a barrier that will make it much more difficult for young people to leave the pitches for the stream area and also assist to ensure balls are not lost in that direction,” Mr Frew said.
He added: “My thanks go to the chief Executive and Council for their speed on this issue.”
